Today is about music and I am so grateful to Tina Pelican for introducing me to Sokratis Sinopoulos and his magical music “Eight Winds”. It is music that every house should have, as a reminder that beauty is the best companion for our journey in life!
Sokratis Sinopoulos' "Eight Winds" is authentic music, where the heart and soul are fully engaged. The listener can sense the musicians fusionning and making their instrument talk, creating a unique human sound, that results in simultaneous happy and sad feelings as if they are telling us is that Beauty is what matters in life.
"Eight Winds" is at the same time music and a statement that humans are still capable of creating great things. With wars, killings and more and more fanatics preaching hatred highjacking our televisions, radios and the internet, it is essential that we find a refuge. Sokratis Sinopoulos' "Eight Winds" exudes love, peace and tranquility and this beauty is the refuge we need. If everyone worshiped this sort of beauty, then, our world would be a much better place. Sokratis Sinopoulos' "Eight Winds" is this sort of creation; a salve for our wellbeing during such confusing times.
